Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer alleging that Punjab Government has linkages with banned outfits said that the provincial government has not initiated actions against the banned terrorist organisations despite clear evidences.

Talking to media during his visit to services Hospital here on Saturday to enquire health Ghaam-e-Shah suicide blasts victims, Governor Punjab stated that the nation has been facing the onslaught of terrorism across the country and the elements involved in terrorists activities were neither humans nor Muslims.

He also pointed that provincial government of Punjab is responsible for supporting the elements involved in promotion of sectarian differences in the country and representatives of Punjab government were also found with linkages with banned organisations.

“The provincial government didn’t initiate any action against the extremists elements in the province even despite his indication as he personally wrote a letter to Chief Minister Punjab to take concrete action against the miscreants in the province”, Governor Salmaan Taseer said.

Responding to a query, he said that menace of terrorist and extremists’ attacks couldn’t be tackled merely with transfers of officials.
